Pinewood Derby

First Challenge

Yokohama Nanoh district of Kanagawa Council, Japan held the Pinewood Derby race at the Beaver and Cub Scout Rally of district on March 9, 2014.

This Pinewood Derby was started by Cubs of California, U.S.A., in 1957.  Hand made cars by scouts have competed the speed and design.

This is our first time challenge of Pinewood Derby, but hoping this event will bring an opportunity to hold a competition race with other districts and exchange of friendship, especially with the U.S. scouts in Japan (Boy Scouts of America –Asia East District).
