Introducing Yokohama 87 - Cub pack

[ ABOUT US ]

Group of Yokohama 87 was established in 1973 and located in Totsuka area of Yokohama, Japan.

Our group is consisted of over 100 scouts, leaders and other group staff members.  

We are looking forward to communicate with scouts in the world and establish Global Scout Network.

 Group’s motto is “We are NO.1” 

Cubs and Scouts have participated JOTA-JOTI 2015 (Oct.16-18) and made video chat with many scout groups, in and out of Japan.

After 23rd World Scout Jamboree (23WSJ), Scouts from Iceland visited us and they experienced Home Stay in Kanagawa.  

We also had Re-Union communication with Icelandic scouts during JOTA-JOTI 2015.

JOTA-JOTI 2013 “Share It” Program

JOTA-JOTI “Share It” badge from Netherland was distributed to one of Japanese group (Yokohama 87 Group) today, and Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have worn it.

They were assigned with two missions:

One, to write a message on theme of JOTA-JOTI 2013 “Share It.”

Another, to participate on video message that is originally proposed by JOTA-JOTI Netherland.

Because, it started rain today, this video message will be made at next activity.

2012 Spring - Cherry Blossom and Scouts

To Dear Scout Friends,

It is now spring in Japan! We have had a long and cold winter, but here in Yokohama and Tokyo area, we are surrounded by cherry blossom.

Because Japan is stretched from south to north, the cherry blossom time differ by each region. Japanese people love cherry blossom and enjoy the blossom with friends and family. We may walk through to see those beautiful cherry blossoms, but most common event is to hold a party under the blossom which may be a unique tradition of Japan.

Yokohama and Tokyo area have announced the full blossom last Friday, but East and North Japan is still yet to come.

Introduction

Let's Contact at JOTI 2009

　　　　　　　　

We are located in south central region of Yokohama City in Japan. There are 13 groups with over 800 Scouts and Leaders registered in Scouts Association of Japan (SAJ) and enjoying the Scout activities.

Because our official Web site is in Japanese, this temporary English site is created for JOTI purpose to introduce about us to those Scouts and Leaders in the world who are interested to communicate over JOTI in October 17 and 18, 2009.

To prepare for a quick start once JOTI begins, please post your contact information from our Guest Book link on right.
